The Midnight Library (The Midnight World, #1)

Matt Haig

I really enjoyed the conversations between Nora and Mrs. Elm, as well as Nora's reflections at the end of her parallel lives journey. They give the natural curiosity we all have about "what ifs" a beautiful framework. Rather than feeding a "grass is greener" anxiety, the book quietly tells that we are shaped by the specific, irreplaceable and often small moments and relationships we've lived through. There is no "better" or "perfect" life, just different ones.

Overall, I loved this book. It's one of those books that genuinely recalibrates you.
